The board hereby adopts by reference in accordance with G.S. 150B‑14(c) the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Handbook 44, "Specifications, Tolerances, and Other Technical Requirements for Weighing and Measuring Devices" except as otherwise indicated in this Chapter.

Copies of the above are available for inspection in the Office of the Director of the Standards Division and may be obtained at a cost as determined by the publisher by contacting Superintendent of Documents, U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, D.C. 20402.
