04 NCAC 01C .0206. APPEAL TO STATE PERSONNEL COMMISSION

In the event an employee is not satisfied with the decision of the agency head after the departmental hearing, he may make final appeal to the State Personnel Commission within 30 days of receipt of the agency's decision. His request shall be filed through the secretary of the department or his designee. If the employee desires, he may ask the agency for help in submitting his appeal in writing.
It is desirable that all grievances be resolved at the agency level, but these procedures are available to all employees should resolution not be possible at that level.
