  • (a)  Membership in the Tar Heel Junior Historian Association is open to young people who, with an adult advisor, form a club.  Membership requests are made to the Executive Secretary, Tar Heel Junior Historian Association, Museum of History, 109 E. Jones Street, Raleigh, North Carolina 27611.

    (b)  The association shall publish a magazine, Tar Heel Junior Historian, which shall accept and publish articles written by the members of the association subject to the following:

    (1)           All student compositions submitted for publication are required to meet literary standards as established by the Division of Archives and History and are subject to editing and revision by the editorial staff.

    (2)           Compositions must be typewritten or legibly handwritten in double‑spaced form and must give the name of the student and school. When reference works are used, a bibliography showing author, title of work, facts of publication, and relevant page numbers must be included.

    (3)           Articles will be printed at the discretion of the editorial staff.  Contributors will be notified if their articles are not used.
