07 NCAC 04R .0503. CERTIFICATES OF APPROPRIATENESS

(a) Historic properties and historic district commissions may seek the advice of the Department of Cultural Resources as they consider applications for certificates of appropriateness. The advice offered by the Department is intended to provide technical assistance and ongoing support for the work of historic properties and historic district commissions.
(b) Requests for review of applications for certificates of appropriateness by the Department of Cultural Resources are submitted to the Director, Division of Archives and History, North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources. The review may be made by the director or his designee. The review will be completed within a reasonable period of time and conveyed in writing to the Commission requesting the review.
