10A NCAC 01B .0101. DISAPPROVAL OF LOCAL AGENCY PERSONNEL ACTIONS

  • Local agency personnel actions which are found by the Department of Human Resources regional personnel office to be out‑of‑compliance with applicable policies and rules established by the State Personnel Commission will be disapproved and returned to the originating agency. The regional personnel office also will give written notice of the disapproval to the following:

    (1)           The local program board chairman;

    (2)           The chairman of the board of county commissioners and where applicable the county manager;

    (3)           The appropriate program division director;

    (4)           The appropriate program regional director;

    (5)           Regional office, Division of the Controller;

    (6)           Director, Division of Personnel Management Services.

    This distribution will bring the matter to all levels of management for the earliest possible resolution.  Notice to the auditing section will ensure that the action is included in subsequent program audits.
