10A NCAC 14E .0310. EMERGENCY BACK‑UP SERVICES

The facility shall provide intervention for emergency situations.  These provisions shall include but are not limited to:

(1)           Basic cardio-pulmonary life support;

(2)           Emergency protocols for:

(a)           Venous access supplies,

(b)           Air-way support and oxygen,

(c)           Bag-valve mask unit with oxygen reservoir, and

(d)           Suction machine;

(3)           Emergency lighting available in the operating room; and

(4)           Ultrasound equipment.
