The Division will perform statewide surveillance and utilization reviews of participating providers' Medicaid practice to safeguard against medically unnecessary and medically inappropriate health care and services, and to ensure that quality of care rendered recipients meets the standards acceptable to the State Medicaid Program as endorsed by a group of medical peers.
