10A NCAC 22F .0510. FAILURE OF PROVIDER TO ATTEND THE REVIEW

  • If a provider served with notice fails to appear at a peer review proceeding, The Peer Review Board may continue with the peer review proceedings in the provider's absence or the proceedings may be continued to another date for a good reason.  If a provider fails to appear and the review is conducted in his absence, the Peer Review Board shall wait five days before issuing a decision.  A provider may request to re‑open a case within the five day period.  If the provider can show good reason why the case should be re‑opened, the request will be granted.  All parties must be informed in writing of the decision on whether or not to re‑open a case, within thirty days following receipt of the request.
