10A NCAC 39A .1209. QUALITY ASSURANCE

(a) Facilities performing mammograms as a part of breast cancer screening and follow-up services under this Section shall be certified in accordance with Rules codified in 10 NCAC 03W .0200 - Mammography Certification. After January 1, 1993, facilities must be accredited by the American College of Radiology for the performance of mammography. A copy of 10 NCAC 03W .0200 may be obtained from the Division of Adult Health, 1915 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, North Carolina 27699-1915 at no cost.
(b) Laboratories evaluating Pap smears as a part of cervical cancer screening and follow-up services under this Section shall be certified in accordance with rules codified in 10 NCAC 03W .0100 - Pap Smear Certification. A copy of 10 NCAC 03W .0100 may be obtained from the Division of Public Health, 1915 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, North Carolina 27699-1915 at no cost.
