12 NCAC 01 .0203. EEO POLICY STATEMENT

  • (a)  The Department has established a program of affirmative action in order to assure that all personnel policies relevant to recruitment and hiring of employees for the Department of Justice will guarantee equal opportunities for all minority group persons, handicapped persons, and women.  Likewise, all handicapped persons, minority group persons, and women will receive equal consideration, along with all other employees, after appointment in terms of salaries, promotions, and other general conditions of employment.

    (b)  The Department of Justice's affirmative action plan as filed with the State Personnel Commission will be made available to all new employees.  Anyone else desiring a copy will be provided with one upon request, made to the EEO Officer.
