20 NCAC 02L .0203. INACTIVE MEMBERS

If a participant ceases to be an officer for any reason except as provided in 20 NCAC 2L .0202, his participation shall forthwith terminate; provided, however, that upon application, the board may in its discretion continue participation on an inactive basis for a period not in excess of one year following such cessation of service as an officer; and further provided that no benefit whatsoever shall be due and payable by the plan during such period as an inactive participant.
