25 NCAC 01I .2001. APPOINTMENT

An appointment is the approved employment of an applicant or employee to perform the duties and responsibilities of an established position subject to the provisions of the State Human Resources Act. The selection and appointment of persons to all subject positions shall be by the action of the appointing authority.
