01 NCAC 03A .0103. DEFINITIONS

For the purposes of this Subchapter, "new construction" means the erection of buildings or additions to buildings which did not previously exist. "Renovation," "alteration," "repair," and "maintenance" will pertain to changes in existing structures which do not constitute new construction as defined above.
