04 NCAC 01F .0407. WATER SERVICE

Water service shall be provided "on‑site" and must be available in amounts and at pressures sufficient to satisfy insurers, such as Factory Mutual and FIA, on all but exceptional fire hazards. Flow charts taken "at or near" the site will show residual pressures at sprinkler‑head level of at least 40 pounds. Commitments of service will be exact as to allowable usage and will be included in the application. Those commitments will be reviewed by the Division of Environmental Management of the Department of Natural Resources and Community Development.
